Grapes, Pinot Noir
Serving: Cold (6–11°C)
About: Marie Courtin is based in the Cotes des Bars, on a tiny 2.5ha at the southernmost part of the Champagne region. Working wholly biodynamically, she (Dominque Piollot) makes pure and brilliant expressions of Champagne. The grapes for Effloresence are grown on a Kimmeridgian marl soil type, similar to that of Chablis. This cuvee has wonderful citrus notes, toasted brioche on the back palate and great length. This wine is a little closed when first opened, let it breathe or even decant and it will express itself even more.
