About: Fruit from 5ha of old vine gamay (up to 80yo) on the slopes of Corcelette, Grand Cras and Chênes, some of the best sites in Morgon. The grapes are vinified with stems for a full carbonic maceration, 80% of the wine is aged in old oak barrels and the remainder in cuve. Jean-Claude Chanudet (aka Le Chat and a very close friend of the godfather Marcel Lapierre) knows what he's doing, plush cherry fruit with a silky tannin to accompany, the wine is showing so well right now but will happily sit for years to come.
