About: 40-50yo vines planted just south of Arbois. Aged in topped up 3-5year old barrels for 15 months. Citrus, minerality and some lovely menthol notes on the nose. Rich and vibrant on the palate with those lovely nutty Jura flavours you expect from this region. A complex wine at fantastic value.
Loreline Laborde is a wine-making super woman.
Originally from Montpellier, she spent time training with many of the Rhône’s top vignerons including Laurent Charvin in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, before settling in the Jura to begin her domaine.
From 2010, she has converted her estate in Tourmont (west of Poligny) from old forgotten barns and flatlands to 5ha of biodynamic vines between Arbois and Pupillin and a beautiful farm, complete with chickens, goats, her horse Amazone and a large vegetable garden. Self sufficient or what? To top it off, during this time, she has had two children, but simply put her baby into a sling whilst she carried on her work.
Due to the quality of her wines and having good friends with importers, she soon gained popularity and at one point not a single bottle she made was sold in France. Wild!
