About: Aurélien Laherte, the seventh generation in the family domaine, is part of a new wave of young winemakers within Champagne, working biodynamically and avoiding dosage when at all possible. In 2009 he started the 'Terres et Vins' a group of growers who showcase their wines at a fair every April in an effort to encourage forward thinking agriculture and natural winemaking.
The family domaine has 75 sites covering ten different villages in an area that falls between the Côte des Blancs and Vallée de la Marne. The terroir is dominated by clay and chalk and this shows in their wines, a slightly more bold structure than that of the other wines from the neighbouring houses.
The Bdb Brut Nature comes from a blend of 50% 2016, 35% 2015 and 15% 2014 and was oak aged in a mix of foudres and barrels with no malos. It's rich and full with great fruit flavour but also a deep savoury character. A well rounded champagne and very easy drinking.
