Grapes, Pinot Noir
Serving: chilled (12–14°C)
About: Raphaëlle Guyot’s winery sits on the periphery of what is still considered Burgundy, being geographically almost closer to the Loire than it is to the heart of Burgundian production. L'Idylle is 100% Pinot Noir, made from meticulously sourced fruit from the village of Saint-Bris le Vineaux, showing soft red berry fruit and focussed acidity and minerals. The nose is classic Burgundy Pinot with earthy tones and brambly red fruit.
Although she only has about 1.5ha currently under vine, Raphaëlle has dreams to increase this to an impressive 15ha, and encourage diversity in the crops on the farm, including oat, wheats and lentils. She is actively integrating cattle and livestock into her vineyards and farms.
