Grapes, Nerello Mascalese
About: Made in a small, centuries-old traditional traditional Etnean wine vinification building called a Palmento. The 40-60 year old bush vines grow on volcanic soils, located on the northern face of Mt Etna! Macerated for 5 days, 50% destemmed, 50% whole bunch, foot trodden several times, vinfied in stainless steel and aged in old oak as well as Georgian qvevris (amphorae). This wine has had it all and tastes so so good for it. A wonderful ruby red colour, with fresh lip smacking flavours of strawberry and dry minerality.
