About: 2021 was a difficult year, or as Inter Beaujolais described it 'combative'. It began with a frost and then the rain, which then lead to disease. This combination of events for many producers, Sylvere & Mathilde Trichard included, wiped out almost their entire year's crop. The pair feel that their use of biodynamic practices really helped to salvage what little fruit they could grow, but ultimately they decided to supplement their crop from nearby plots in order to make wines this year. This year their nouveau went through a 6 day carbonic maceration and was held in concrete with zero sulphur additions at any stage of the process, a remarkably stable wine for such a difficult vintage. It's direct, fruit forward and has all the markings of a fantastic Nouveau, completely smashable.
